Metal Sales Named "Vendor of the Year" by Do it Best Corp.

   Louisville, KY - October 12, 2009 - Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation has been named “Vendor of the Year,” in the lumber and building materials commodities division, by Do it Best Corp., the only U.S. based, member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.  With annual sales over $2 billion, Do it Best Corp. is the second largest co-op in the industry, serving 4,100 member-owned locations in the United States and in 47 countries.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition, and this award signifies that our efforts are evident and ultimately beneficial to those we set out to support,” said Jim Waldron, President of Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation.

The selection of Vendor of the Year is determined by input from Do it Best Corp. commodity traders in all regions across the country and includes breadth and desirability of product offerings in the supplier’s overall program.
